Breastfeeding and medication

Written by Nathalie Gagnon, B.pharm., M.Sc., this new series of fact sheets is intended for women who are breastfeeding and who must undergo a medical procedure requiring the taking of certain medications. These sheets can be printed and/or sent to healthcare professionals in order to give them access to references that demonstrate the compatibility between breastfeeding and certain medical procedures involving medication.

Nathalie Gagnon is a pharmacist dedicated to perinatal care and pediatrics. She is a former breastfeeding sponsor who has campaigned for the right to breastfeed anywhere and wants to pass on her knowledge about breastfeeding and medication.
